As every year, October is the month of Career Day: the most important meeting point between the University of Urbino and the world of work.
This year was the 20th edition and took place from 18 to 29 October. The event is generally made up of workshops, seminars and meetings with companies, in which graduates and undergraduates of the University can focus on the best career paths, define and establish how to achieve their professional goals and develop a personal strategy to face the labour market effectively.
This year’s Career Day was characterised by two new features: interdisciplinary seminars by the schools on the cross-cutting theme ‘The post-pandemic future: economic recovery and sustainable development’ and new meeting methods involving streaming and in-person events, workshops and company interviews.
As in previous years, Vicolocorto participated in collaboration with the Centre for Employment, Guidance and Training of Pesaro and the EURES service. We were involved in two days:
Friday 22 October 2021: Webinar “Time to move – Experiences abroad” with the following speakers:
Dr. Sabina Carrozzo – EURES Advisor for the Province of Pesaro and Urbino
Dr. Laura Zarzani – EURES Assistant for Marche Region
Dott.ssa Paola Diotallevi – EURES Marche Assistant
Dr. Carolina Tenti – Representative of Vicolocorto Association of Pesaro
During the webinar, the EURES service was presented, the portal and the TMS project in support of mobility, were illustrated other opportunities such as woofing, workaway and Au Pair. In addition, the projects of the European Solidarity Corps were presented together with the experiences of European volunteers currently in Pesaro.
Thursday 28 October 2021: Stand in presence at the Sala del Trono of the Palazzo Ducale in Urbino.
Participation in these kinds of events is fundamental because it allows us to get in touch with the student population and tell them about all the training, volunteering and work opportunities they have in Europe. The participation this year was very high and interested, we hope to be able to send many young people on projects abroad soon!
